The teaser video posted by the company indicated the upcoming mobile-oriented RTX 30 series graphics cards.
The short video clip from Nvidia gives a glimpse of a laptop GPU and a portable GPU.
Nvidia’s CES2021 virtual event is scheduled at 9 am PST (10:30 pm IST) on January 12 and it will be streamed via Twitch and YouTube.
Though not much is clear about what versions of RTX 30 series GPU will be showcased during the event.
However, we can expect to see relevant mobile GPUs of the RTX 30 desktop versions. Some of these include RTX 3060 with 6GB RAM, RTX 3070 Max-Q with 8GB RAM and top-of-the-line RTX 3080 Max-Q with 16GB RAM.
In addition to that tech website tomsguide.com has said that the company might launch it’s most affordable entry-level desktop graphics — RTX 3060 and RTX 3060Ti at the event.
The chip is expected to be priced at under $400.
As far as specs and features are concerned, the mobile cards are expected to be based on the same Ampere architecture and will offer benefits like better ray-tracing performance, resizable Base Address Register (BAR) for better performance.
The resizable BAR enhances the communication between CPU and GPU to improve performance.
